Are we suppose to include raw veggies and fruit in our daily calorie allotment?

Of course. Especially fruit since it tends to be more calorie dense than veggies (ex. 100 grams of banana is about 90 calories while 100 grams of carrots is just over 40).5

Raw vegetables and fruit have calories. Since I can eat hundreds of calories of fruit and vegetables in a day, I don't think I could be successful counting calories if I didn't include them.6

Yes. Places like weight watchers purposefully give you too few calories with your daily points so you fill the remainder with fruits and vegetables. With standard calorie counting, they certainly do count, though some are more calorie-dense than others (bananas and avocados being on the more dense side, tomatoes and strawberries being less dense).5

Yes, you count EVERYTHING. Literally everything.1

Heck ya. Some days I have a large portion of calories from fruits and vegetables alone. They can add up quick.
You eat it, you log it.1 -
Thank you all for feedback. It's much appreciated!2
