Good day. I am now using M.F.P. after using WW for 18 months (with success). I am a a bit confused by my calorie count... I'm slated for 2090 a day. I added my Google Fit.... Synched with M.F.P.... With my steps, etc... Today around 9k it's adding an additional 600/700 calories to my day to use. Does that sound correct, it may be but new to the process. I realize that I do not have to use them to slim down quicker... But looking to see if sounds right or I am doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.

If you are coming over from weight watchers freestyle there are a few things to keep in mind:
    • There are no zero point foods (you have to count everything)
    • You have to count exercise, and eat back exercise calories (weight watchers doesn't require you to eat fit points because they would rather you eat them back in zero point foods)
    • You need to weigh and measure everything (weight watchers assumes you will approximate and underestimate what you are eating, MFP assumes you will be exact).
    • Weight Watchers is designed for an average weight loss of .4 to 2 pounds a week, but its easy to lose WAY more especially if you are a guy (I was averaging more than 3 which is why I switched to MFP, it was too fast for my weight). You don't want to lose more than 1% of body weight a week, and probably only that much if your BMI is in the obese category.

I found Google Fit to provide overstated calorie burns, I've had more accurate results with Samsung health. I just use the phone though, I don't have a fitness tracker.
