Weight loss rate for 18 pounds left

Hi. I couldn’t find this on search. I have 18 pounds left to lose and vary from sedentary to active ( 15k steps a day ). How fast/slow should I be losing weight? 1 pound or 1/2 pound per week?

    Depending on how lean your goal weight is, you may be able to start at 1 lb per for a few weeks. What it really comes down to is: can you comfortably eat at a 500 cal daily deficit? And can you hit a 500 cal deficit while staying over 1200 cals?

    My tdee is @ 1800 cals so I would've had to eat 1300 cals to lose 1 lb per, and that would make me miserable, so I lost 15 lbs at barely half a lb per week.
  • For me personally, I'd probably do half at 1 lb per week and the other half at 1/2 lb per week, just based on my own experiences. When I've needed to lose more than 5-7 lbs, the first chunk usually flies right off, then it dwindles down lower and lower until I hit my goal.
