How do you deal with feeling sore?? I LOVE going to the gym but often feel like I can barely move the next day at work. I'm a teacher but I do a lot of sitting in meetings and cannot get a lot of movement in during my day. Any suggestions are welcome!

How often do you go to the gym? Do you stretch and/or foam roll after a workout? If not, you should. Also, if you are that sore after every workout, you might be pushing too hard and need to dial your workouts back. I generally find that when I workout regularly, I rarely get that sore after the first week of getting back into a routine.

I go four times a week, but I think the problem is that I can't always spread my days out. For example, I went Tuesday at 5pm and Wednesday at 5am (which is why I am so sore today I think). I have a foam roller and I've watched videos but still feel like I am doing it completely wrong.

Try dialing it back on weight or number of reps/sets and see how that goes. Not spacing it out isn't the reason you are sore, the workout that did it was gonna do it anyway, if you see what I mean. You might be interrupting recovery but it is what it is and we have to work around our lives. If you're not sure about the foam roller, ain't nothing wrong with a good old fashioned stretch, get down on a mat and touch your toes and do pigeon and all that good stuff.

I do a lot of power yoga and I can stiffen up if I miss a day

I have a warm soak in Epsom salts and I think that helps me

What is it that you are doing? It's fine to do cardio every day, but you do need to spread out strength training the same body parts.

I am rotating when I do strength, the only thing that overlaps occasionally is core but that is rare. Cardio is almost every day.

Which strength program are you following? Full-body workouts tend to produce less soreness than body part splits (different muscle groups on different days).

It's a program that has four different sections each "week" that target specific areas, usually some version of upper and lower.
