Tracking Soluble Fiber?

Am I correct that MFP won't let me do this? I realize that it's not available on all food labels, but where it is I'd like to track my insoluble vs soluble fiber. Thanks in advance. Very new to this tracking.

No MFP does not give this option. Unfortunately, most food labels also do not show the breakdown of soluble/insoluble. Best just to concentrate on foods that are rich in soluble fiber to get your desired quota, such as oatmeal, oat bran, legumes.

No...most entries are user entered, so if it's not on the label it won't be entered anyway and most foods do not do a breakout of that.

Since there no field in the database records to enter soluble or insoluble fiber, the questions of whether entries are user-entered or whether the information is on the label is moot.

Since soluble fiber is so critical to health, it would be wonderful if MFP would allow this to be tracked. There are whole foods (like carrots, figs, avocados) that have known soluble fiber amounts. I'm wondering if one of these two options would be feasible:
    1. Is there a MFP software enhancement request area where we could add the request to track soluble fiber?
    2. For a short term fix, perhaps the MFP developers could allow a new 'blank' field to be added to the food diary where people could track what is important to them. (Yes, I was a software developer before I retired.)
