Howdy!
I just recently had my second little one two months ago. We are overjoyed with her!
However, I find that my post pregnancy posture is less than desirable and my back hurts and is pretty weak. I was wondering if there were any exercises I could do to correct this and help myself stand up straighter. I don’t like being hunched over. It’s not a cute look for me, also it’s painful. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

Aqua fitness class (deep water with a flotation belt). It's all about the core, at first. My favorite instructor always reminds us throughout the class, "Ears over shoulders over hips!" so that we stay straight (which is very challenging with water pushing you around. Add in some arm or leg work, and it's damn hard to do. I do sit and stand up straighter because being hunched over no longer feels good. It takes a while to feel a difference, and like anything else, you have to be committed and stick with it. Swimming is great too, but I don't know if you're a swimmer...

Yoga, pilates, and a good ballet class. Having a great ballet teacher in my teens corrected my bad posture.

Congrats on your baby! Anything that strengthens your core (front and back) will help. I would just go for good full body workouts. It probably won't happen overnight or in a month.

It's certainly not for everyone but nothing corrects posture like a rowing machine. It's a perfect counterbalance to all the hunching and slouching down that we do over computers and phones. I've done indoor rowing (erging on a Concept2 machine) for four years now and my posture (at 53 going on 54) has never been better.

I like all the suggestions above. They all contribute to improving ones posture.
Before you start exercise, have your doctor check you for Diastasis Reci. This is a separating of the abdominal muscles, quite common in pregnancy, and needs correcting first.
Your doctor should be able to refer you to a PT or classes that will help.

    Cheers, h.

Oh, belly dancing is good too.

Everyone has had great tips. I wanted to second yoga as a great starting point. There are so many different styles and it's something you can do from home. I use YouTube, Yoga with Adrienne is great. Also, since there are carrying lengths of practices, it's easy to fit in shorter ones when you have a minute.
