Hello,
I'm really struggling with dinner ideas!
I'm not much of a cook, I'm not a bad cook I just don't enjoy cooking so the quicker and easier the better.
I'm just wondering if anybody has any recipes to give me some ideas for easy meals for a family of 4?
Thanks

You can find easy recipes everywhere, in cookboks and on the web! But the easiest meals don't require recipes - you just have to know how to cook the various components, which isn't that difficult, and how to combine components into appealing meals, which also isn't that difficult. Feeling of mastery can do wonders for whether you like it or not, and the more practice you get, the more skills you will aquire. A rule of thumb: A balanced dinner has a protein, a starch and a veg, and different colors. Real life examples (meals I love): Salmon, rice and peas. Pork chop, sweet potato mash, green beans. Lamb chops, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts. Pizza. Pasta bolognese. Trout, noodles, cucumber salad.3

I’m not sure if your family has any dietary restrictions but...
I love tacos! Easy to change up- you can use chicken, ground turkey, ground beef, etc. I like to put chicken breast in the slow corner with a jar of salsa and let it cook on high for about 4 hours, then shred it with 2 forks when it’s done. Serve with warmed tortillas and toppings of your choice. I like cilantro, lime, chopped pickled jalapeños and guac 🥑2 -
Cooking Light and Skinny Taste are favorite websites for me.
Crock Pot recipes and stir-frys are quick and easy.

Thank you! I'll check those websites out.
I'm hoping to eventually find some enjoyment from cooking. It just seems like a chore at the moment, and I'm guessing a lot of that is to do with lack of imagination and not knowing what to make! Which results in the same meals. It's a shame really because there is literally nothing I do not like. I'm going to invest in some cook books I think0 -
Lots of great cooking shows on TV.0
