Im new to this app and new to gym life. Looking to loose 40 pounds. (Also addicted to sugar) Looking for some people to help keep me motivated and keep me accountable.

Welcome! I see you have most of the buzzwords already To lose weight, you just have to eat less; exercise is good for you, but a poor weightloss tool. Sugar addiction is not a thing, most people just like tasty fooods, and trying to deny ourselves pleasure from food by telling ourselves that our favoirte foods are evil, leads to compulsive behavior. Motivation is just your desire for an outcome, and your drive to pursue it. Nobody is motivated all the time, so this is where good habits and change of attitude comes in. While friends are great for company and support, you are only accountable to yourself.3

I'm in the same boat with sugar addiction. Decided with this diet that I could have 1 thing a day that is mY favorite and that's coffee with sugar! 😄0 -
If you want a good understanding of addiction look up ‘bob saget cocaine’ on youtube. Warning- very adult language and concepts.
Ditto on the motivation. The most others can do is remind you every now and then to consider the reasons you want to lose the weight to begin with.0 -
stock your kitchen with healthy foods.. get a plan.. get rid of all the junk so you won't be tempted. Come here for support.. It will be hard..but as you keep going you get stronger and it works! Good Luck.1
