Balancing Portions in Meal Prep

I am two weeks into logging my food with MFP, and am pleased with how easily I can monitor and control my portions with the help of this App.

For me, my body says “hallelujah” in more ways than one when I get back on the balanced nutrition/fit lifestyle plan. Now, I’m finding that the App lets me treat this like a game, in a way, by giving me a target of 50/30/20 (C/F/P) tied into a food database with meal /recipe tools to see all those macros and nutrients up close and personal.

I use a small counter scale to weigh all my food. Anymore, I look up what I intend to eat and predetermine the portion I’m going to eat as part of a Meal that I save to use again in future.

It is rewarding to be able to review the history of my choices and tie it to feeling better from eating well and getting those steps in every day.
