Hi guys! This is my first post - I just joined. Just wondering if any of the ladies out there are also trying to lose their pregnancy weight? This was my second child and I gained 40lbs. I lost 20lbs by the time I got out of the hospital (baby, fluid, all that lovely stuff) so I needed to lose 20 more. After a month of working my a** off at the gym I've lost 8 of it. But I'm finding that I really have to push myself to go to the gym the 3 days a week that I do and complete my 2 hour workout sessions. Need some motivation and support to get these last 12 lbs off!

I can't speak from experience as I'm a step mom; never had babies in my tummy. But, I have lost over 40lbs. And I did all of it at home. Have you thought about working out at home?
  • Yep, had a baby July 21st, baby #4. I gained 22 lbs. I never lost ten from our previous baby and I am tired of not being able to wear my old clothes. I have about twelve pounds to loose total. Sounds easy but I hate dieting. This is going to suck but I am going to do it. I have p90x for exercise and am I am keeping my calories where it suggests for the most part. The two things I can't seem to keep in check is the recommended daily sugar and carb allowance.

What day/phase are you on of P90X? That is how I lost my most of my weight! The program works! But, don't think of it as a "diet" necessarily. Ugghhh.....I hate that word! lol Make sure you're getting enough good, lean protein too. Stick with it! Tony knows his stuff; if anyone can get ya there, he can!

I lose weight by going to the gym faster than I do at home - I'm not disciplined enough to do a 2 hour workout at home!! The couch and TV are too enticing!. After I go back to work in September I plan to workout at home to maintain my weight as I've always done. But the gym helps me get down quickly, like I did with my first baby. I just had a rough week emotionally so had to drag myself to the gym and then make myself stay for the full 2 hours when all I wanted to do was stay home with my baby and be lazy. :)

I get confused when people talk about dieting because it can mean so many things. What exactly are you doing? I've never followed a specific diet or counted calories. I just eat smaller portions and healthier food than I did while I was pregnant! Also I've seen the P90X dvd's - those are hard core. I think after I lose these 12 lbs and am back to being active after 9 months of sitting on my a** I might look into those!
