Short background - started Keto a few weeks ago and had no problem sticking to my macros and calorie goal. Felt very full. I took a vacation and tried to stay low carb but def didnt stay in Ketosis. Sunday I started again strict and started weightlifting on Monday. Ive only done two workouts (I'm so sore!!! :p ) This is a new thing for me and this last week ive been ravenous. I'm eating lots of protein and healthy fat but I'm finding myself hitting maintenance before I feel satisfied. Is it just and adjustment period thing? Is it me trying to get back into Ketosis? Or is it something else entirely?

Are you doing any exercise in addition to weightlifting? What percentage of the calories you earn from exercise do you eat back?

MFP uses the NEAT method (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis), and as such this system is designed for exercise calories to be eaten back. However, many consider the burns given by MFP to be inflated and only eat a percentage, such as 50%, back. Others, however, are able to lose weight while eating 100% of their exercise calories.

It does for me. Hugely. So I've given up while trying to lose despite the fact that it is better for my shape. I get ravenous so I'll get back to it when I get to maintanance.

Thanks for the responses. Ok well glad that im not just imagining it all. ;)
I'm set to lightly active because I hit between 12-16000 steps a day, have a job where I'm walking a lot, and then the three 1 hr weightlifting sessions. So I havent been eating back calories for those things because its rolled into my activity level. I may incorporate a bit of zumba and I would add that in as exercise and maybe eat back half. I'm going to keep an eye on things for a week or two and see if I need to adjust things a bit.

Oh thanks @shadow2soul ! I really dont consider myself active and I'm really worried about overeating (because really thats why I'm here to begin with). I will adjust my goals and see where it puts me.

    12-16,000 steps isn't "light active"

This^ plus you are 5' 8" What is your weekly loss goal? Bottom line is between your activity level set too low, not eating exercise calories and your height, you aren't eating enough. No surprise you are hungry.
