Toddler party snacks

Hey everyone, I’m finally back and back on track. Yay!!!

Anywho-I need some suggestions for toddler party snacks, that are fun and allergen friendly (free from wheat, barley, oat, peanuts, treenuts and red dye #40). I joined a monthly toddler group (between ages 18 months to 3 years old) and it is my month to host. I was planning to do some simple things like juice boxes, fruit cut into match stock like pieces, maybe some rice cakes, but was wondering if anyone had and fun suggestions? I know my munchkin loves “ants on a log” (celery with peanut butter and raisins) but we have two kids allergic to peanuts, so bad idea.

Thanks!!!

How is that even possible your baby is a toddler? I feel like you were just pregnant!

Um nothing to add for creative suggestions I’m the one who thought a popcorn themed 2nd bday party seemed like a good idea... needless to say the supermommies corrected me quickly. I might as well have been planning a heroin and broken glass themed party.

I don’t know. Time seems to be flying by so quickly. She’s 18months now and certainly has developed my attitude.

Is it bad that I don’t see the problem with popcorn, other than it being messy?

You could swap the peanut butter in ants on a log out for lightly sweetened tahini or a sweetened hummus-style spread. And let the parents and toddler know what it is, so they're not afraid thinking it's peanut butter or a tree nut butter.

My boyfriend's niece and nephew are 2 and they like things like -

    cut up chicken nuggets
    cold grilled chicken
mini pepperonis (might be too spicy?)
    mini corn dogs
    cut up strawberries
    blueberries
    apple sauce
    steamed carrots (served cold)
cheese ravioli (served cold, no sauce)
