Map and heart rate

Hello,

Not expecting anyone is able to help me, but it's worth a shot.

I have the Garmin vivosmart HR activity tracker to record my heart rate while running. It doesn't have a built in GPS. I have the map my run app to record where I'm running.

If I use both, I have 2 entries for my runs but I only want 1, with both my heart rate and a map of where I've gone.

Is there anyway mapmyrun can use the HR data from my tracker and it's in-built map feature simultaneously?

Cheers.

Specs indicates it broadcast HR over Ant+. What's running Map My Run? Smart phones, older Samsung and Sony has build-in Ant+ support. You could get a dongle to work with any recent android devices (3.1 and later) but might be out of luck with iOS. (Not an apple fan but seeing all kinds of posts, re Zwift, that dongle support been stripped recently.) You could always manually insert it by converting the fit files to tcx and append the step entries. I use Golden Cheetah and it's fairly simple using it's editor (copy and paste) or export files as excel (merge and import as a new activity) export as a tcx or fit file as a final step to be uploaded in preferred application.

    Cheers I'll look into this

Strava provides me with a map and my heart rate.

^ this may be your best bet since Garmin and Strava are like best friends so I expect their data meshes easier.

If you have an IPhone, it will certainly work. I do cycling and use MapMyRide with IPhone and chest strap heart monitor, and I have it working as @kcjchang states above. I'm not familiar with Android, but I would assume that it would be capable of doing the same thing.
