This time it has to stick!

Hi All,
My name is Bri, I'm 29 years old and living in Chicago. I'm currently weighing in at around 270. I started my journey in May of 2016 when I realized I was tired of feeling tired, depressed and all around not like myself. I could barely climb a flight of stairs without becoming completely breathless, let alone climbing a flight of stairs with groceries! Bending over to tie my shoes was a chore. I fell in love with working out and fitness, and while I haven't always been consistent, I've kept it going.
I recently quit the corporate world for self employment after 8 years, and I thought the transition would be much easier than it has been. I'm a professional musician, so I'm doing that full time now along with trying to get my body healthy and lose this weight (especially since now I have absolutely no excuse or reason not to hit the gym). Eventually I am interested in becoming a personal trainer/fitness instructor. My biggest problem has been with eating. I've always comforted myself with eating, and in the last year or so my big vice has been wine (more than I'd care to admit) to help numb out how frustrated and miserable I was at my office job. I have seen some positive life changes since leaving, I'm more motivated to take care of my house and my appearance, I get excited to go work out each day and try new things, I feel overall less stressed out and tense, and I'm not completely exhausted when I do have gigs.
I would really like to finally get this weight off. My husband and I would really like to start trying for a baby in the next few years, but I personally don't feel comfortable doing so until I've lost quite a bit of weight (this isn't to say that others can't have a baby when they are overweight, I just personally don't feel comfortable doing so). I also want to continue to build on my fitness levels so I can work toward becoming a trainer. I would love to find some fellow MFP friends who are also struggling to get the eating in check, or who are trying to lose a substantial amount of weight, or even a friend who is also self employed.
Looking forward to meeting you all!
