Haha. Then you'll appreciate this Scandinavian wood elf. I like to believe she works with Santa, rounding up the reindeer.

Her song is lovely and yet unsettling. I imagine the song of the Valkyrie calling you to your end would sound a lot like that.
Listen to that again but this time close your eyes and imagine you are walking in a forest and hear her song. At first faint as a grey mist starts to roll in her song gets louder and closer.
Thanks for sharing, that was cool.
I understand, but it's perspective, I imagine. I lived in IC as a kid... sounds "normal" to me.0 -

Very cool & welcome. I'm an old soul when it comes to watching interviews with folks way before my time... Dick Cavett, David Susskind, some obscure Brit interviewers. This weekend, I'm going to be listening to the old Nixon tapes. Been thinking about them for awhile. Then, I'll probably watch the Watergate hearings.
For me, it's apparently the 1980's in the Taffy yurt. Peter Murphy, my fave voice, "Cut you Up". Fun fact, Murphy was the actor in the old Maxell cassette tape commercials/magazine ads... the lad with his hair blowing back from the phenomenal sound of Maxell. For those of you who don't know Peter Murphy, his former band, Bauhaus or cassette tapes... hush whippersnappers, hush!

You have captivated me. Johnny Dollar and I have spent many an hour together. Peter Murphy taunts me with his voice. I cannot get close.

Love you both! Awesome music & that deep voice is mesmerizing! The "Cuts you Up" vid is breathtaking to me. He's a Bowie-like character... seems alien looking in a good way, beautiful in voice & spirit & tapped into something creative most cannot approach.
My 2nd fave STP song behind "Sour Girl".
I don't care for the silly-creepy imagery in SGirl, aside from Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is just gorgeous in this vid. She had such a lovely rapport with Scott, but said she'd never met him before or after... she was just the actress hired for the vid. I'd assumed they were friends.
Sadly, once a band I love has had such a depressing death of the lead singer (the most important instrument in the band to me is the voice), I can't listen to them anymore. Used to listen to Nirvana daily... I just can't anymore. Same with STP, Alice in Chains & far too many others... it's a sadness I cannot handle.
