Start logging your food. All of it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. After a week or so, take a look at your food diary and see where you can make small, sustainable changes that you can keep doing your entire life. Maybe you switch one soda per day for water. Do that while you keep logging all your food. Once the first change you made is second nature, then make another small, sustainable change. Rinse and repeat.
It's not going to be fast, but it will last. Weight loss is not a sprint, it's a marathon.
And your SO is an *kitten*. I know how you could lose ~ 180 pounds really quickly.20 -
Tip 1: Give him a swift kick in the balls.
Idea 1: Remind him about his obligations as a Dad to set a good example. (Then give him another smack in the balls)
In all seriousness stop panicking and take a deep breath. You can lose this weight no problem. You can get to a place where you feel great about yourself.
As the MFP to set your goal. Stick with it and make that progress one step at a time.
BTW Who brags about being shallow?26 -
That's an unfortunate situation regarding your partner but your weight is at least something you can control. Don't waste time & energy with "tips and tricks"; there's nothing proven effective outside the context of creating and sustaining a caloric deficit. Go through the guided setup to get an appropriate calorie goal, log diligently and honestly (with a food scale). Be consistent, trust the process, and you'll eventually get to where you want to be.
As a general rule expect no more than a 1% body weight loss per week, as a best case scenario. Also, weight loss is never truly linear due to bodily fluctuations in fluid retention, and/or hormone changes, especially when there are changes to your routine (increase or changes to exercise, monthly cycle, etc.)

Step one...unless said partner is perfect (which no one is) then tell him to cut you some slack. You just had a kid and no matter if he's shallow or not he needs to give you time to get yourself back in shape. *kitten* that!
Step two... begin measuring, weighing and logging everything you eat. Get that baby in the stroller and get out there and burn some calories.9 -
Drop kick your partner first, then take a look at your amazing, capable body and know that it is possible to do all things! Your body created babies you badass woman...you can definitely lose the weight you're looking to lose. Just start cutting a few hundred calories a day. If you have a fitbit and can see how much you burn a day, you an cut from there. Just start there. You are a gorgeous, capable woman.5

Step 1: Lose 200lbs by getting rid of that horrible SO of yours
Step 2: Eat at a calorie deficit. That's all it takes to lose weight, no special diet or workout program.
Step 3: Be awesome14 -
First off, you have to lose the weight for yourself - not for anybody else. Weighing food and sticking to your deficit will produce results.
When I first started this, I logged accurately (with a food scale) and honestly. The important factor in my personal success was that I did not step on the scale until I had been at it for a month. I was delighted and VERY motivated by the initial first-month weight loss. (I admit that now as I hover near maintenance, I weigh myself every day - it keeps me on track.)
Often times, people start out gung-ho and eat salads and starve for the first day or two when motivation is high. Then they step on the scale and see little to no change in the first 24 hours and get frustrated and take a "this isn't working" attitude. In our heads, that obviously makes no sense because scientifically it is not feasible to see drastic fat loss in 24-48 hours. But our desire for instant gratification is strong, especially after eating salad for a day
In waiting to step on the scale for a month after I started, I saw real change - not water weight and not just a pound or two.5 -

Sounds like it’s time for some self-acceptance, self-love and self-care. There is a excellent book called Attached. It’s about attachment theory in adult romantic relationships. If you can find the time as a busy mom, I’d recommend reading it. It may give you some insight into your marriage. Take care of yourself Momma.0

@MIDNIGHTLOVE404 sorry but no man should ever put a woman through this kind of trauma. You should first love yourself, make changes for yourself. Don’t rush to lose weight because this man don’t know what is like for woman to have 3 kids and pack on some baby weight. Let him leave it’s not love if you have compromise your happiness to be with someone shallow3

I am going to assume your partner has other redeeming qualities even though I think the ball kicking suggestion was appropriate.
The most important thing is not to stress or panic. It can cause you to make unwise decisions about your weight loss AND it can cause you to retain water and mask your weight loss for a long time. It is going to take time to lose weight and you have to maintain your health for yourself and your children.
Also remember it is never too early for you to be a role model for your kids. What would you want them to do in your situation?2 -
You sound like you could do with a friend

What I did was logged my weight, and food and organized a work out plan it helped me feel accomplished and boost self esteem to keep my drive going once I noticed I was losing weight. It's all about caloric measuring. Your 'energy in' ( food ) needs to be less calories than your ' energy out' ( food ) you want to be burning more than what you eat in order for your body to start burning the fat. I've lost 30 pounds from doing this my highest was 210 at 5'4.0

I can feel you on that one..😩 I don’t get ready anymore afraid he might say where you going? Lol1

I'm not sure trying to do it quickly for any reason (let alone a shallow partner) is the best idea. Slow and steady. Think of it as something that will improve your overall health rather than just your weight. Think of not just calorie intake, but nutritional value of the food as well. Feel free to add me if you'd like additional support.0
