Circuit

Hi All- yesterday I worked with a trainer for the first time . I did a circuit of exercises. I don't have a Fitbit or other devise to track calories burned- MFP says "General Circuit" for my weight and 60 minutes= 459 calories burned. How accurate is this?
I'm considering buying a Fitbit- would this track these type of exercises?
TIA

It's really hard to say as there is sooo much variance in what a circuit can be. 459 cals is probably high, but again, it's hard to say for sure.
Unfortunately, a fitbit or similar probably isn't likely to be any more or less accurate tracking these types of workouts, but it can be a great way to check your overall activity and calories burned over longer periods of time (like a full day).0 -
thank you jjpptt....sorry about the double post.....I was concerned that I would be allowing for too many calories...I've been on a great streak of weight loss and now that I've incorporated strength training, I didn't want to mess that up0

I wear a polar heart rate monitor. I still only eat part of exercise calories back. I don't think there is an 100% accurate tool.0

If that's your concern, then only count half the calories burned MFP estimates for you. Many people find that to be a good safety net.1 -
Great..thanks jjpptt....1/2 seems reasonable....I was hoping a fit bit would help, but I suppose there are other ways to determine if what I'm doing is working .....body weight and measurements give me a nod on that.0
