What I particularly like is how she starts selling her book right in the first 30 seconds, and giggles a lot. But the really complicated line graph behind her threw me off, so I decided not to watch the rest.
I made it to 43 seconds where the comparison of women's 7 bodies in her lifetime to men only having 2 bodies in their lifetime.
And here I thought I was still living in the same old one I was born with! Is that like a cat having 9 lives? When you reach your 7th body you're out?
You are so far behind. Each new body is like a power-up. You could be levitating by now...3 -

Maybe we shed them like a snake, but in our sleep so we don't realize it.
I just had a vision of waking next to my old body skin.5 -
I got curious, so I registered for her newsletter using a throwaway email to get her free cookbook. Thank you for making me laugh. Estrogen dominant first half of the cycle is cooling, while progesterone phase is warming. Example "cooling" lunch: stuffed chicken breast (chicken, spinach, mushrooms, cheese). Example "warming" lunch: chicken fajitas (chicken, coconut oil, some sliced veggies, corn tortillas).
I wonder what happens if I eat chicken fajitas in the estrogen phase.
OP, count your blessings that you didn't have money to pay for her program. The kind of language used makes it very obvious that it's nothing but a money grab.
ETA: I have the pink book too. The amount of information and references he was able to cram into it is insane. Re: deficit, he mentioned the smaller deficits would probably be too slow for a higher category dieter simply because, from his experience, they tend to be impatient and want to see results fast (that's what he said in one of his interviews, can't remember which). He also mentions in the book that smaller deficits can mean better adherence for some people including a category 3 dieter and that there is no reason why one couldn't select other rates of weight loss. If you aren't impatient you can pick whatever rate you want. I certainly did. I haven't done any of his templates (protein is too high to be sustainable for me), but I've been happily losing at 0.4% and I'm a cat 3.8 -

It is (apparently) pink. It is (apparently) full of spelling errors. It is (apparently) expensive as heck.
He still hasn't been shot by the many women who frequent his web site and facebook pages. Or the guys who do the same.
He happens to be quite knowledgeable and he references research throughout his writing. And yes, he does discuss hormones.
If I had a burning desire to spend money and I was a woman who was concerned with her fat levels... I could do much worse than acquiring a copy of The Women’s Book Vol 1: A Guide to Nutrition, Fat Loss and Muscle Gain.
That hug you got, it was from me. Woos be damned.
I'm choosing to laugh at the ridiculous uptick in woos on non woo-worthy posts (my total count has more than tripled in the past few weeks). I suspect someone(s) have an agenda...
Same here. It’s both petty and funny how some use the woo.
With (lack of) woo, comes great power. :laugh:1 -

I think I'm on a 1:1 ratio for posts to woos today  I choose to be flattered.3 -

OMG, I literally doubled my woo count in just one thread a few months ago, and I'm pretty sure a few were trying to be complimentary ("Hugs, I'm so sorry that happened to you!) 2 random posters: Woo!
I skipped through the video looking for the post-menopausal part, but apparently that's another video - I mean book. I missed the part about the 7 different bodies (just as well because creepy) but caught a little of the heating/cooling foods thing. How can anyone read that stuff with a straight face?
If you follow her method while eating at a deficit you'll lose weight. If you chant "fat be gone!" before each meal and eat in a deficit you'll lose weight. Shocking, I know. I'd go with the second option, it's cheaper and you can eat fajitas no matter where you are in your cycle5 -
I know this is an old post, but I felt compelled to comment. You may be surprised to know that chiropractors get an abundance of nutritional education during their schooling. More so even than their medical doctor counterparts. They also learn physiology and get in depth internist training. It is not just anatomy and “how to adjust”. Call them quacks if you want, but they know more about the human body that this thread gives them credit for.18

You use your first post to open a dead thread.....why?3 -
That person has been a member of MFP since 2013 so maybe they just use the forums as reading material. I did that for a long time. I am not sure why it matters that they reopened this thread...maybe it just took that long for them to find a thread they thought worth responding to.
I found it a rather interesting read. I had never heard of the little pink book with spelling errors.4 -
Ah....the ole' Chiropractor giving diet advise strikes again.2

I have read and enjoyed some articles that he has written for free online. At times it gets a little technical for me but I always come away a little more enlightened. I wouldn't ever spend the $60 (fixed income) but I was interested in the 1% rate of loss method. Right now the deficit is not too large for me but I can see it getting a little uncomfortable at some point.0

You're right--he does. It's dense, but SUCH a great read full of helpful info!0
