Hi all - I'm trying to get myself motivated and accountable. I'm at my heaviest in my life, and at 56 years old, I feel like my old habits need changing! I've been blessed to never really have to watch what I eat, and I've never had a rigid workout routine other than being active in general.

I'm realizing I can no longer get away with not paying any attention to the calories in/out thing. My metabolism is definitely slower, I'm not as active, etc. I'm hoping to lose 20 pounds in a sustainable way and keep it off! I figured starting by recording what I eat may 1) stop me from eating it and/or 2) let me see where I need to make changes.

Thanks for any encouragement! Good luck to you all with your goals, as well.

I understand you Ruth. I am at my heaviest of 255. I have tried exercises but that won’t work until I conquer my biggest weakness. I am a binge eater. I could go without eating but when I eat, I over do it most of the time. I have to learn how to eat right and this is my first step in that direction
