What do you mean by safe??? Being millions of people follow it...yes it’s safe. But if you’re looking at it as a diet to lose weight, it’s not a weightloss diet, no diet is a weightloss diet/ plan. The only proven way to lose/ gain weight is through caloric manipulation regardless of what food or “diet” you follow.

Do research because there’s allot to it. is it safe absolutely, and once you get over the first big hump it’s extremely easy and helps drastically in weight loss, but no it is not “a magic cure”. It still follows cico, biggest difference is less of an appetite so your less likely to overeat.

Keto isn’t necessary for weight loss, but if you enjoy eating that way, then it is helpful. All you have to concentrate on, whether it be for weight loss, maintenance or weight gain is calories (energy balance). There’s no reason to do a diet if it’s torturous— weight loss is tough enough.

It doesn’t help “drastically in weight loss” any more than other diets. A “diet” that works for weight loss is one that can be adhered to.

Appetite control is different for everyone due to macro balance- high protein, balanced, macros, higher carb, high fat: you just have to find the right macro balance for you. Keto/low carb isn’t satiating for everyone.

I tried it for 4 days and find it hard to stick to. I do well with intermittent fasting.

If you find keto hard to stick to (many feel this way), but you find IF is good for you, then do that. We lose weight through eating fewer calories than our body burns throughout the day, over an extended period of time. How you get there, is individual.
