NSV--No Acid Reflux This Week!!!!

I haven't been at this very long, but I woke up this morning and realized that not once this whole week have I been woken up in the middle of the night with heartburn!!!!

I've been suffering from acid reflux for years and even keep tums in almost every room in our apartment because it will come on suddenly and make me feel incredibly sick. I haven't even had to reach for the tums all week!!!!!

I'm so excited by this because I feel so much more rested and energized during the day because I'm not up at night fighting off the heartburn!

I still have a long way to go and several more goals (lbs and otherwise) to meet, but this really motivates me and makes me feel like I'm completely on the right track

Isn't that a great feeling?! I noticed I was having less heart burn and acid reflux after I'd lost about 20 lbs. Congrats and enjoy the freedom! :drinker:
    Keep up the great work!

    Fantastic feeling isn't it? :drinker:

Congrats. Now I have to remember to chew a few just for the calcium benefit but I, like you, was living on them, bottles stashed in each room.

Had to sleep on 3 or 4 pillows at nite too (now just one)....not sure if you also have this issue at nite.

I'm just like that! I keep tums on my night stand, in the living room, at work, and in my purse. After a week of eating well though the heartburn completely goes away. A few beers will bring it back the next day, but as long as I get right back on track it goes away again. That is definitely one of my biggest motivations to continue eating well because I don't want to do long term damage to my esophagus if I can avoid it. Plus it sucks not being able to drink a cup of coffee without a tums chaser.

Oh yeah...reflux was one of the worst parts of my problems. Nausea totally sucks and i never thought I would see an end to it. I was able to get off my Rx a few months ago and things have been good.
Congrats on your accomplishment and keep it going!

Haha I'm like that too, haven't noticed a lack of heartburn yet, as I'm just starting... But i've got tums in every room and my car and purse, just in case I forget to take my GERD meds! Looking forward to maybe not get an attack every day!

Isn't that the best? I was diagnosed when I was thin, so it won't ever go away, but I'm amazed at how many fewer symptom I have now!

Yay. That's awesome. I used to be like you with heartburn relief products everywhere. Mine hasn't fully gone away, but it's gotten a lot better.

This is so great. One of my top favorites of weight loss benefits, personally. :)
