How do you deal with booze?

I love drinking, but it takes at least 6 - 7 beers (around 1500 ml) for me to be tipsy and start enjoying myself. I can incorporate other things into my diet and still make a huge caloric deficit from my exercise, but it seems that the only way for me to enjoy booze is to have a huge cheat meal... I'm not exactly thrilled by even the mere notion of "cheat" meal. My apology for being selfish and want a little bit of everything
how do you deal with your "nights out"? do you throw everything out of the window and just have fun?
p/s: I do not drink if I am the US as I am only 18. This applies in my country only (where it is perfectly legal)

If I know Im going to be drinking I try and do a little more exercise since I will be consuming those calories later. I love beer but calories do add up especially if you are trying to get a good buzz on Ive started drinking vodka/water and then adding mio to it. Gives some flavor and a shot of vodka is smaller in calories than a beer. Just have fun, don't do it everyday and you will be fine. :drinker:0

I plan for it by exercising a bit more and eating lower calorie food that day, as well as sticking to mostly vodka and rum with zero calorie mixers instead of drinking beer all night.0

I have a couple of drinking nights coming up... One tomorrow and one in two weeks.
I don't mind not drinking... But I get really annoyed with everyone and everything when I'm sober and other people are being ridiculous.
I'm worried about it... if I'm drinking I don't want to lose the willpower to not eat those bags of chips or go for a midnight McDonald's run... Plus I like dark rum, which the calories can definitely add up on...0 -

Ah, one of my favorite topics!
First as already mentioned, you almost HAVE to plan for it if you don't want to totally derail your hard work. If I know I'm going to be partying, I will do a morning workout for extra caloric burn and then (this is KEY) eat almost TOTALLY PROTEIN in small meals prior to the drinking. If you eat anything other than tag-along carbs/fats with that protein, you won't keep your gains/progress in tact. I typically do this by drinking protein shakes, eating turkey breast, or grilled chicken ONLY. No veggies, no fats.
Then, PARTY ON! Chances are you will hit that "tipsy" point a few drinks sooner without all the carbs/fats thrown in pre-drinking, and this is a good thing since you're now "drinking more efficiently". Plus, we all know that alcohol is packed with carbs, so that carb deficit you established earlier from your protein-rich meals is getting rapidly "replenished" with each drink you kick back.
Add in drinking water - purposefully - while you drink your booze, and you shouldn't notice any big setbacks other than finding the motivation to workout the day after. Actually, I've experienced the leaning/flushing effect after these drinking nights, since alcohol can dehydrate you so I actually LOST weight.
Don't make a habit of it, but 1-2x every 2 weeks or so won't wreck you as long as you are disciplined.
Cheers!0
