I just started my transformation journey from 285 (current) to 185 (target) today. This has been on my bucket list. I've come close (201 in 2016). I know I can do it...and it's just a matter of taking it one step, one day, one exercise at a time.

I started today with a 30 minute hill climb on a treadmill. I was anxious before I started but I felt relieved when the treadmill went into cool-down mode. Going to go at it tomorrow and the next day. The key change in my lifestyle that I've made is cutting out ALL eating outside and not consuming anything processed or packaged. I eat when I'm upset, anxious, stressed, angry, lonely, tired, happy. So I know the bigger of the 2 obstacles is going to be nutrition and eating right. Let's see how this goes.

How was your first day at starting a fitness goal? Any tips, tricks, motivational messages?

My first day was a lot like yours, it always was - starting exercising and eating right, thinking I had it all down. And right there is a clue to what my tip is going to be: Educate yourself. Don't just randomly cut out things you like, or work yourself up to exhausting, mind-numbing exercise. Find ways so you can enjoy eating, but responsibly, and moving your healthier body, every day for the rest of your life.
