So frustrated...

I am so darn frustrated! I haven't lost much weight in the last month. I hadn't been logging as I was still losing a pound a week. I needed a break from being on this site all of the time. Then I stopped losing. I didn't gain, Yay! But I didn't lose, Boo! So I have started logging again for the last couple of weeks. And for some reason I have lost some of my willpower when it comes to resisting junk and eating more than I need to. I am so frustrated with myself. I want to lose the last 25 pounds and I can't seem to make it happen!!!

You have to REALLY want it. It's not easy to say no, but if you want to lose the weight & keep it off you have to be strong. And it can't just be about losing, it has to be about being healthy.
If there are certain foods you're craving, eat a small portion of them.
And get moving! Even a short work out is better than sitting on the couch.
I've lost 30lbs since May with running & eating right. I just started Insanity to help get rid of the last 15lbs & get some muscle. Feel free to add me.0 -
I've done some backsliding this week, eating lunch out instead of bringing it from home.
Don't beat yourself up about it. Just acknowledge the past and then work on getting back on track.
And if you want encouragement, send me a friend request here and I'll help cheer you on.0 -
Our minds are such funny things, huh? You know your strength and dedication - it's documented on the scale and this website, those are facts; don't forget how much you've accomplished already. Some people refer to this period as a plateau to break through - it feels more like I'm in a funk to me. Usually tracking calories and weight help me stay aware and on track, but sometimes it feels like too much and I kinda rebel or rationalize why some junk now is worth it. And sometimes it's true, sometimes I do need that balance of "regular" meals to keep from getting too intense about being perfect. Usually, though, it's the case of my forgetting what means the most to me overall. Skipping a workout and ordering in pizza then curling up on the couch all night feels good once in awhile, but not every day in the long run - I just forget that in the moment of the one night, and then the next, and so on. This ended up being a bit of my own rant (I went out for a big fancy dinner last night), but my intention is just to remind you of how capable you are (38 lbs lost already!) and to refocus on why you're committed to making healthier decisions. That's what I'm doing ;-)0

Oh I know. I was doing so well for the longest time. Now I can't seem to get the groove back. This week has been a bad one again. I hope I haven't but I think I have gained. Tomorrow is my weigh in day. Next week is a new week I guess.0

You've lost 38lbs.....take pride in that. A huge accomplishment!! Obviously you have the will power and dedication. We all have bad days or bad weeks. But you need to dig deep and remember why you started in the first place and why you need to continue - give yourself a good pep talk!! Leave yourself little sticky notes to remind yourself that you are awesome and have made huge strides to a new/improved you. Also little reminders to back away from the fridge for a late night snack. Today is not over.... start making better choices now. Tomorrow is a new day - make a plan and stick to it!!
Stay strong you got this!!!!0
