Bulking tips

Hey guys I'm a 21 year old guy here around 5'11" and I weigh about 165 pounds. I'm wanting to try to bulk and build muscle. I've never done it before so need all the tips I can get please.

Look at Starting Strength or Strong lifts or Grey Skull - pick one and follow it as written for3 months or so - then reassess where you are - figure out your maintenance cals and start by adding 300 per day to that - eat your body weight in protein - 165 gms per day. Eat carbs, rice, potatoes etc and veggies - increase you cals so you are gaining 1-2 lbs per week - If you are lifting hard -1

Be consistent. Both with your lifting - regardless of what program you choose to start with and with your surplus. Unlike cutting where you can bank calories, bouncing back and forth from deficit to surplus is a great way to slow down progress when bulking, imo.1
