Hey guys, can anyone help me out and maybe help me find a solution on what I’m missing here? Getting close to 1 1/2 months on keto, macros in order and calories. I eat pretty much the same thing once I get in a rhythm. This week i’ve noticed I can hit my macros but still have calories remaining (100+). I know a few wouldn’t hurt, but lately it’s been closer to 200 calories. Can anyone give me a solution? i’ve checked the foods i’ve tracked on calories and everything seems in order. Thanks
here is an example:

Your eaten macros when multiplied out come to 2211 Calories.

This is fairly usual in that total calories are sometimes stated as lower than what the macros multiply out to.

Sometime this is caused by fiber getting subtracted. Mind you, in your case, with only 8g of fiber this would be a "play" of only 16 to 24 Cal as entries variably subtract 50% to 100% of the Calories for fiber depending on expected digestibility.

More often than not I find that the issue you see is caused by.... err.... well... "accidental" aggressive rounding by the food producers???

It would be worthwhile to also check whether there might be more correct entries available for some of your "usual" items!

In general I've found that a 3% to 5% variance between macros multiplied and calories as stated over the course of a full month is not unusual.

Larger or smaller discrepancies can usually be traced back to alcohol or to an incorrect or incomplete entry or two.

One or more of your entries is wrong.

    171g fat = 1539 calories
    145g protein = 580 calories
    23g carbs = 92 calories

Based on the macros your actual intake was 2211.

Would you mind opening your diary (if it’s not already), so that we can help you find what is wrong?

It would be more efficient for you and us if we could just see your diary. Please change your Diary Sharing settings to Public: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
