Giving MFP a try

Hi, all! I'm planning for a transition at the end of a great year-long diabetes prevention program. I want an all-in-one place to help track diet and exercise. I'm 54 and live in Atlanta. Like most of my immediate family, I've been on the verge of becoming diabetic, and like most women in my family, I'm not finding peri-menopause amusing at all.
In the past couple of years I've lost 47 pounds, I'm now averaging 350 minutes of activity a week, and my blood sugar and A1C are in the normal range. I need a place where I can maintain awareness of diet and exercise. I have 10 more pounds to lose, a hysterectomy to get through (in December), and I need to get into the habit of resistance exercise on a weekly basis. So here I am. Pleased to meet you!
