Including some kind of message in your friend requests will give you higher approval odds.

I check the requestor's friend list. Usually, they find me by going through one of my friends. It's like a quality check.

I'm mostly on the app so it's hard to see others' friend lists. I understand lots of people are new and don't realize you can include a message.
I guess I'm mean. I almost never accept one without some kind of message.

Like, call me a bad name or anything as long as there's words. 🤣

Not mean. Just requiring common courtesy. Not a thing wrong with that.

This is a trap, isn't it... like when girls "just want a nice guy".

I’m not good about accepting FRs even if there is a message. I like to keep my list really small. I recently trimmed it down a bunch and not because I didn’t like the people I cut or anything.. it just got super overwhelming to have too many things on my newsfeed.

I used to not see the big deal about accepting a FR but now i feel like I’m saving people from having one more unsupportive friend 😏

That's not a bad thing to do once in a while. I do it with my Facebook lists. It's just like house-cleaning. Has to be done every now and then.

I deal with facebook by unfollowing EVERYONE. This leaves me with the option to go snoop when i want to
