having trouble with self-control

hello everyone! i'm joining mpa because, as the title suggests, i'm having awful troubles with self-control. i have no problem exercising but putting restrictions on food at all makes me binge horribly. i also binge horribly when i don't restrict myself, so it sometimes feels like not caring about my diet is the easier of two evils.
i've recovered from an eating disorder a few years ago and i'm very body positive, but i've packed on plenty of fat in the past two years (mainly the past six months) from poor diet and stress. i really want to get in shape, trim up a bit, and increase my activity level. my current exercise regime is jillian michaels' 30 day shred, i'm on day 3 so if anyone wants to be accountability partners, i'm all for it!

If you're interested in self-control you can do a search. There was a thread running on it for a long time, basically saying that self-control is not infinite and with tips to improve it. There are also many binge threads with stories of people that have overcome it. You will do just fine if you take things slow. Best of luck.0
