Hey everyone! This is my first post and I’m so happy to be a part of the community. It feels great to have so much support and to see so many people working toward their goals.

If you had one piece of advice for someone beginning this health journey, what would it be??

(Also- I need more friends!!)

The only person who can hold you truly accountable is yourself. If you're not honest (to yourself and to others) about your health and weight loss habits, no one can help you.

If your goal is weight loss and your planning on tracking calories, then I think there are 3 important things that have really helped me be successful, long term.

1)Use a food scale and weigh every thing you eat, for accuracy.

2)Keep a food journal, logging all that you eat/drink (including cooking oil, dressings etc)
Make sure you log every day, no matter what

    3) Finding a suitable calorie target for me & my lifestyle, for both weight loss and now maintenance.

Feel free to send me a friend request, happy to share this journey and like mutual support here on mfp.

Consistency and discipline win out over enthusiasm and motivation - be consistent and disciplined and you got this.
