Loved my Twins when I was boxing.

I'd recommend getting the heaviest gloves you can get to fit you. The extra weight will help with conditioning and arm strength. For non-sparring work I'd actually recommend MMA gloves (Pride style), saves you having to keep taking the gloves on and off constantly to do thinks like drink, do other exercises like push ups, towel off, etc. Same protection just way more convenient.

Thanks guys, I will be having a chat with the coach when I go on Thursday, I was looking for some general advice, I was thinking 12oz would be about right and judging by Gemma's post I am probably right. How do I know what is a good glove? I have some MMA gloves but need both for what I am doing which is MMA/Boxing/Self Defence style stuff, if that makes any sense at all.
