lumpfish roe ideas?
My hubby was making a Christmas packet to send to his sister and a few items in glass jars had to be removed because they sent the postage cost through the roof.
One of them was a glass jar of lumpfish roe. We have some light cream cheese which we could have on crackers topped with the roe.
Any other ideas on what to do with lumpfish roe?

That sounds way too expensive to eat with cream cheese. Make sushi? Create a traditional caviar plate (you know with... sour cream... and... capers?). I don't know.
This looks good: http://johanjohansen.dk/2014/03/11/lumpfish-roe-poor-mans-caviar/

Intense salty flavor. A little goes a long way. I haven't had any in years, but I picked up a jar last week just for kicks. I'm wondering the same thing. I think the cream cheese idea is a good one. I can imagine it going well with a little brie cheese. I love rye crisp bread, so I think that will figure into my plan.0

I saw online that it makes a nice topping for scrambled egg.0
