Only 3 ways I know to lower cholesterol. Drug therapy. Niacin and asa is on that's fairly easy besides statins. Second, lose weight. Third, eat more fiber. Fiber binds with cholesterol in the gut and you.. well... dump it out. That's why oatmeal can help lower cholesterol. Nothing magical about it, it's just the increased fiber content. Most Americans come no where near the USDA rec.0

I did the Quaker 30 day challenge while walking a few miles each day and went from 115 to 109. I was trying to get to 100 even though I am not at risk (so I can be over 100; I just would like it lower). I will be interested to see how it comes out at my physical at the end of the year. I have stepped up exercise intensity substantially.0

I have been taking Berberine for the last couple of month. Cholesterol dropped from 268 to 117. Triglycerides and Sugar also dropped.1
