Hello everyone! My name is Cassie, I'm 31 years old and live in Indiana.
So I've been wanting to introduce myself since I started but seems like life gets in the way. So here I am a couple months into my lifestyle change and it's going slow but steady. Of course in the past I've tried losing weight but only to quit and revert back to old habits. I started at 353 lbs in 2014 (I was possibly heavier before that but never weighed myself) and as of today I'm at 303 lbs! 8 inches total lost in the last couple of months. A couple months ago I started intermittent fasting (16:8 ratio) and I love it. I also track my meals with MyFitnessPal which is a great tool. I'm still trying to do better on macros which seems the hardest to get in control. I joined Planet Fitness two months ago and loving it. I go 3 days a week and thinking of bumping that up to 5 days a week. The ArcTrainer machine is my favorite cardio machine. I've found out I love to lift weights. I ask myself sometimes Who is this person?! haha! I'm giving God all the glory for my new found ambition. I am still proud of myself for what I have accomplished and what I will accomplish in the future. One of my biggest achievements was completing the Fort4Fitness 4 mile race a month ago. They gave us 1 hour and 20 mins to complete it. My time was 1 hour and 17 mins and I wasn't the last one! I'll be honest I cried at the finish line! haha! I've never done 4 miles before like that. I dealt with blisters on my feet for a week and very sore muscles but I did it! I can't wait for next year and will definitely train more for it. I can't wait to be out of the 300's! Praying for strength as holidays approach haha! Breaking bad habits that I've had my whole life is not easy. I struggle with cravings and emotional/bored eating. The struggle is real people! haha! Well I will leave my introduction at that. Hope you all have a blessed day!
