Fish Oil

I recently started to take fish oil, a day after I started, I started having excessive thirst. I am always thirsty, I drink so much water and i'm still thirsty. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or if it's a different issue and it just happened to happen around the same time.

Thanks!!
I love people, so if you would like more motivation, you can add me as well :)

    I doubt they're related.

I would look at any other recent changes to your diet/exercise or medications.

that's what's strange. I have eaten the same things for months, and doing the same workout for months, the only difference has been the fish oil. that's what made me think there was some sort of correlation. weird!!

    You don't have diabetes right?

Maybe you're turning into a fish and craving water non-stop? Are you forming gills?

Are you sure they're fish oil pills and not salt pills?

Other than that I got nothing. Probably not related to the pills. You can always stop taking them and see if the thirst goes away. Or just drink more.
  • I'm thirsty a lot too. But I think it's just because I'm exerting a lot of effort on my workouts that my body is just plain dehydrated. Then again, I do take bipolar meds. So that factors in on it, too!

First, stop taking the pill for 2-3 weeks and see if there are any changes. In the unlikely case that your thirst appears to be caused by the pill, then try a different brand, e.g. Swanson.

Erm, no idea how credible this is but a google search shows lots of thirsty fish oil takers.

Edit: crap I just realized how old this thread is. Sorry y'all.
