What Should My Calories Be?

Hi, MFP:

Long-time user and rare poster. I have a bit of a conundrum!

My goal is to lose body fat and gain muscles. I don’t care what my weight is; I just want to be toned and feel great. I currently have my calories set to lose .5 pounds per week. I am allowed 1310 per day.

Unfortunately, now that I’m exercising regularly, I get regular urges to binge. I consistently go over my calories and find myself snacking constantly. I currently exercise three times per week — 30 minutes of cardio followed by 30 minutes of strength/lifting/weight training.

Should I change my calorie limit? Any advice?

Are you advisory losing? How fast? What is your current height, weight, age, and goal weight?

Are you tracking intake, including binge days?

My best guess that you're trying to restrict too much/too fast, or you haven't yet dialed in an eating style that keeps you satiated . . . but absent answers to the questions, that's a bald guess.

recomp might be the way to go, for a while at least, so you can eat at maintenance? you must be very small for maintenance to be 1560 cals?
