Old school all the way!

I consider myself old school, but I take what works and dump what doesn't. For the most part I follow the Navy's SPECWAR developmental program and use the Polar zones to monitor progress. Still stick to old school calisthenics and push myself to or beyond the pain threshold every time, but I've learned that I can hit the same calorie burn in a longer walk or a shorter run.
Logging though I see as balancing a checkbook. Success in everything requires management. Logging is nothing more than managing calories. There is nothing intuitive about this and this misconception leads to yo yo dieting and repeated failure. It would be nice if people could get away from thinking that something is wrong with them because they overeat, when instead this is entirely natural and logging is how you manage weight in times of abundance.
