Invisilign and eating?

Hi all! I just got Invisalign and am struggling with mouth pain/taking the trays in and out to eat. Has anyone else had Invisalign and how did you cope with eating? Wondering if I'll lose weight from simply not wanting to bother taking them out/flossing/brushing etc...
Thanks for any suggestions!

I haven't had invisalign but did have a lot of orthodontic work done as an adult including wearing a large retainer at all times except when eating and brushing teeth. The pain and soreness should only last a couple to few days. Taking the trays in and out should also get easier. In the meantime, focus on eating softer foods rather than crunchy things. The trays should definitely help control snacking.0

I had braces as a teen. The soreness will go away in a few days. When you start a new tray, you may have pain for a day or so, probably not as much as the first time.
It won't last long enough to make an impact on your weight. Having to take them in and out may cut down on your snacking between meals.1 -
I finished with Invisiligns in March and now wear a retainer at night. When I first got them I ate everything in sight because I did not want to snack and was afraid I would be hungry. As I got used to having them I learned how to quickly brush and floss if I really wanted the snack (usually was fine without). I ate breakfast and lunch before going for new sets and did soup for dinner. I put the additional sets they gave me after dinner/before bed. If pain is more than aspirin will take care of, let your dentist know. The pain was worst when I first started and when I started a new adjustment set (when they rescanned and ordered new trays for me). I was able to lose weight with them.0

They'll loosen up as you wear them. The first few days with each new set are awful. I didn't think I'd ever get my first set out, it hurt so bad. So for 2-3 days every two weeks it sucks.0

Hubby has them and they only bothered him in the very beginning. The Dentist told him to use a nail file to wear down the part that was bothering him. He only brushes twice a day.0
