Bottomless pit after lifting weights

Does anyone else feel like this after weightlifting? I changed my strength workouts from after dinner to midday for schedule reasons, but now I'm food crazy the rest of the day. When I lifted at night this wasn't an issue because I'd have a snack and go to bed but with this schedule I have 9-12 hours of daytime to stuff my face. Having a protein/carb heavy meal after lifting has helped but still not ideal. Does this go away eventually? Switching back to night is an option but I'd like to try to solve this other ways before doing that.

Not me. I lift first thing in the morning, 4:30 to 6:00, don't eat breakfast until around 9:30. No issues.

I am always super hungry on lifting days. Cardio curbs my appetite so I eat my cardio calories on lifting days. It's been this way since I started over four years ago.

In the beginning yes, then my appetite levels out after 2-3 weeks.

Cardio also curbs my appetite, I did not think to do this but I will definitely start. Thanks!

I hope it helps. This is yet another thing we have to play with until we find the balance. It's the reason I started following a weekly calorie goal instead. I just make sure it balances out.

What are you eating preworkout now? You’ve had more calories in you previously try adding more carbs/veggies preworkout to curb your appetite
