plan on higher carb - limited fat/protein; also high sodium - so if you see some water weight tomorrow don't be shocked

I find sushi fits into my calorie goal really well.

Only one roll!? I couldn't do it.
Maki (seasweed on outside) and without tempura tend to be lowest calorie.

... now I want sushi for lunch!

It's pretty easy to eat well at a sushi restaurant.

I typically get a rainbow roll if it's just me eating it. I estimate 500 calories for the roll and enjoy it.

    If I'm splitting -
mom and I will share 8 pieces of sashimi and 1 specialty roll. Neither of us likes tempura, crunchies, mayo sauce or aioli. Last time we shared a roll with cucumber, avocado and salmon on the inside, and yellowtail on top with a light citrus drizzle.

the boyfriend and I will share 2 appetizers (usually a meat and a vegetable). 2 rolls (1 specialty, 1 regular) and maybe an additional 2 piece of sashimi. He eats a lot more than I do though.

Sushi is my Friday night treat!!! Love it.

I make it fit in my calories, but it’s not hard. I live in NZ, so maybe they make it differently, because we have slices, not rolls. But I can have sushi for between 500-600cal. Bonus- one of the restaurants I get my sushi from has calories listed!

I second the high sodium and water weight though!

I can easily eat more sashimi than is good for me. It’s my ‘chocolate’ .
