Female bulk or cut??

Fairly new to mfp - I've been lifting weights for a year and lost almost a stone. I've noticed I have lost a fair bit of body fat (not much to pinch) other than my mid section. I fear that cutting will result in losing too much weight as I weigh 120lb and im 5 4". Body fat is around 24% which is in the middle when ive researched ideal bulk or cut ranges! My goal is to reach 18-20% so am I right in thinking that I need to 'lean bulk' and build more muscle then cut to lower bf? Thanks in advance!

    24% bodyfat seems high to start bulking?

    What about recomp?

    Just had a quick look at recomp and I think it would definitely work for me with where I'm at, thank you for the suggestion
