edited October 2018 in Challenges
Inspired by the 100,000 pushups in 2018 thread, last month I set a goal of 5,000 pushups for myself. I finished that goal on the very last day of October. My long-term goal is to complete 100K-125K pushups in 2019.

So this month, my goal is 7,500 pushups.

But why stop there? I noticed a large increase in upper body strength over the month of October from the pushups alone. So I am adding sit-ups to the mix this month as well. My sit-up goal will be 3,000 for the month of November, no 2019 goal for them currently.

So to divide this up evenly between all the days of month, I will need to perform:

250 Pushups/day
100 Sit-Ups/day

Seems like a doable challenge. I welcome anyone else that would like to join, feel free to set your own goals and track your progress here.

Good Luck Everyone!

Just for some extra math for everyone who is wondering

to get 100,000 pushups in a year, an average of 274 per day would complete the challenge.
to get 125,000 pushups in a year, an average of 342 per day would complete the challenge.

I am going to try for 25 pushups per day to start, right now I don't do any. 750 for the month of November will be my goal.

Hey, that's awesome! You have to start somewhere and the key goal is to always try to do better than you are currently are, that is the only way to make progress! Good Luck!

Did my 25 pushups, I still can't get all of the way down, and I still have my butt up too high, but I am expecting that both of these will improve as I gain strength in those areas.

I would like to be a part of this! I am going to shoot for 30 push-ups a day, which would be 900 push ups a month.

You'll find the more you do them and stay consistent, they become so much easier. When I first started the daily pushups in October, I got tired after 25-30 pushups in one sitting. Now, I do 50-60 at a time before feeling the same amount of tiredness. I try to push myself each set I do to make the next ones easier!
