reached original goal weight but its not good enough?

I started out on my mission just to get myself in slightly better shape and to eat healthier etc, when suddenly I realized I was over weight and something needed to change. I have only recently started to measure myself regularly, and as I only have access to scales every month or so every weigh in is a surprise, I have lost about a stone and a half since starting and a few inches all over, but recently due to some life upheavals I have stopped my excersize routine, I am still loosing but I feel even though I am way past my goal I am still feeling gross in myself. Maybe this is due to getting used to my current body shape/size and I just need to learn to keep up the "toning" and learn to love myself or I will never be happy? Does anyone else have this issue?
