How much weight do you have to lose?
How are you logging your intake, are you using a food scale?
    Is the workout regimen new?

Besides the above, it’s only been two weeks. What were you expecting to lose in this time?

If you don’t have one, a food scale is one of the cheapest and most effective tools for loss

Eta: .5 per week is good progress.

You are losing weight. You lost 1lb in 2 weeks, which is 0.5lb/week. That is a good rate. To lose weight in a healthy manner, you don't need to do a fad diet or spend a fortune. You just need to burn more calories than you consume. As the other posters suggested, a food scale can help you more accurately determine the number of calories you are eating.

1 lb does not seem like a lot, but that's progress. You are probably building muscle mass working out, which is also a good thing. Eventually, the weight will come down.

How far do you need to go? Did you program your details into the calculator here? What did you set your weekly weight loss to? What did it say your calorie intake should be?

And not to sound like a broken record, but do you use a food scale, and if so do you weigh everything? We had someone in another thread weigh a frozen dinner and it was 20% larger than what was listed on the box, adding about 100 calories to the meal. It's amazing sometimes.

    ### And Congrats on not going to fad diets. They are usually more fad than diet. Some are adapted from real medical needs, but misused as a weight loss tool.

She won't be building muscle mass eating in a deficit.

0.5lb a week is standard as you get closer to goal weight.

Because two weeks is not much time at all, the best advice for you IMHO is to be patient, use a food scale and log everything you eat as accurately as possible. Taking measurements instead of relying on your weight alone to mark progress might help as well. I am heavier than my goal weight but slimmer now than I was when I reached it so could have been fooled about my progress had I not tracked my measurements along with my weight.

2 weeks is nothing. Seriously. Your body does not react exactly and immediately to the work that you do. You need to look for results over weeks and months.

Plus, if you have less than 20 lbs to lose, 1 lb in 2 weeks is pretty good progress. It's certainly not struggling - it's perfectly normal to have some weeks where you lose less than you would expect, or lose nothing at all (or even gain a little). It's just real life.

You don't need to spend a fortune. Log accurately and consistently. Hit your calorie goal, and be patient.
