What exercises do you log?

Hello! I have a question regarding how you guys log your exercise. So when you first use the guided setup to establish your goals, you input your activity level which gives a basis for calculating your caloric needs. I am a student so I put moderately active because I walk all over campus and home frequently and daily. Therefore when I go to log my exercise, do I not log that walking because it is already accounted for by my caloric needs? For example, do I only enter in exercise that I do as a more serious workout like cardio, weight lifting, etc?
Thank you! Just want to be as accurate as possible so I don't give myself extra excuses to eat more food 😁

Yes, you log intentional exercise beyond your everyday activity.3

You log exercise/activity that is above and beyond what you have included in your activity level. If that walking is included in your activity level and then you logged it, you would be double dipping.2

Thank you so much for the clarification!1

Technically I don’t manually log anything. My Fitbit however adds calories when my activity has surpassed my activity level setting.
This can be from walks, workouts, family activities, things like playing Just Dance, etc.0 -
I user Pacer app which tracks my walking. I skip bus and take long walk at lunchtime so Pacer tracks it and updates MFP.0

I lift my TV remote up and down over and over again. After I build up my forearms a bit more I'll attach some weights on it.3

I used sedentary and eventually switched to a custom low base calorie goal. I can and do log anything that is purposeful exercise, if it is enough to worry about.0

I use Pacer too (would love a fitness watch of some kind eventually) and just use that as my exercise. I do sync Map My Walk to here with my intentional walkings and then just put it to 1 calorie burned so I can keep a track of how much time I have spent walking here though. Both would be double dipping and Map My Walk gives a generous amount of calories burned.0
