Protein? Share what you ate or macros for today.

When you put your weight in myfitness pal and how much you want to lose and such it gives you macros. Shoukd you eat the amount of protein they recommend or is that for members who work out. Can you share your food for the day or your macros.

    I feel like I don’t eat enough protein so I am always trying to hit my protein goal. I pretty much just let carbs and fat fall wherever. I’m mostly just focused on my calories and generally making healthy food choices. I don’t care about my macros that much, the calories are what matter for weight loss.

    I just shoot for 100+ protein daily.

    To hit that today (and my last 2 works days) I have eaten hard boiled eggs, jalepeno popper crockpot chicken (over half my protein), vegetable dip made with Greek yogurt and string cheese

    I hit my 99 grams of protein today (including the readjustment from logging exercise).

    Diary's open; note that I eat back around 50% of my exercise calories, but in a nutshell, my protein came from:

    Breakfast: Greek yogurt was the main source, but I got a few odd grams from grapes and a granola bar.

    Lunch: Vegetarian ground "beef" and a flour tortilla for the main source. Odd grams from Tofutti Sour Supreme and mushrooms.

    Supper: Did a saute with more of the fake meat (Normally, I don't repeat what what I had for lunch, but I'm going out of town for a few days and I started the package a couple of days ago. I wanted to finish it because I'm worried it'll go moldy by the time I get back.) Odd grams from onion, red pepper, mushrooms, corn, peas, and a mini pita.

    Snacks: 2 vegetarian hotdogs, a Fiber One bar, a frozen Greek yogurt bar and some Halo Top.

    I have my goals set at 220g carbs, 73g fat, 165g protein (40%C, 30%F, 30%P). I consider the protein and fat goals as minimums, and let the carbs fall wherever they fall.

    diary open. I'm doing 155C 54F 145P at the moment. I put my protein a bit higher than the recommended 0.6-0.8 per pound or whatever, but that's about it. When I increase my calories I will increase the carbs and leave fats and protein the same.
