Weight Gain - Not Sure Why This Happens

Every year I do a 5 mile walk for Breast Cancer and the following week a 5 mile walk for Suicide Prevention. Every year after these walks my weight goes up 2-3 pounds each walk and it doesn't come off. It is not like I am eating my way through the walks and not changing my calorie goals or going above those days yet this happens every year. I would say water weight if it came off, but again very confused by this.

Great job on the walking events. I would expect you're noticing what's been a gradual change throughout the year, but you pay more attention around the time of those events. Do you weigh daily and log in a trending app like Happy Scale? It would be easy to tell if it was a gradual trend or sudden spike. If it is a spike, then pay closer watch to your intake those during two weeks next year,0

I do weigh daily. I log it. I know you should t weigh everyday, but seeing any gain motivates me more to exercise that day.
There’s no gradual change. Just after those events it goes up and it doesn’t come off. I don’t get it. The first walk was almost 3 weeks ago and still hasn’t come off.0 -

How accurate is your logging? There can be a subtle appetite increase after unusual exercise, and if you aren't weighing your portions, it's possible you are serving yourself a little more without realizing it. Packing the measuring cup a little tighter, mounding that tablespoon a little more. Just a thought!2 -

So you Were exactly the same Weight every day months, then the day after the walk you jumped 3 lbs and have stayed at exactly that weight for 3 weeks?0
