carbs and packs

so today I had a spam musubi, but just one piece.. I regret it now, cause rice contains carbs, and I'm supposed to avoid white foods for at least 2 months..

So my question is is it possible to get some packs (4 - 6 packs) while eating about 1/4 cup of some kind of white food like pasta, potato, rice, etc.. or should I stick to eating fruits and veggies?
