That link doesn't work, but ok....? I presume it's your pace you have issue with?
Would you call your son/daughter/friend pathetic for running at that pace?
Personally I think any running is awesome, but that's just me!8 -

I SUCK AT RUNNING!
That's an awesome pace! But I do go with the philosophy that any pace faster than 0 is an awesomeness pace. And you ran 6.2km!
Who are you comparing yourself with? You should only compare you to you, no one else.10 -

I couldn't open the link but every runner I know thinks they suck (including several Boston qualifiers) when they compare themselves to others.
Running is about you, your pace and improving. As another old geezer I know it's an uphill battle but we're not 20 any more, I used to be able to sustain 40 km/h on my old 10 ton steel frame road bike, now I'm ecstatic to hold 30 km/h for any period of time. To us a a cliche, it is what it is. Focus on consistency and you will see improvement, it's just a matter of being realistic about the rate of progress.5 -
Comparison is the theif of joy.
You are a runner! Embrace it because so many others can't or won't.7 -
You ran for an HOUR, with a nice steady HR. DUDE.
YOU ARE AWESOME!7 -
For those who could not see: 3.85 miles at a 16:48 miles pace, 1:04 total time average heart rate 122. Old Dude; how does that compare with previous runs? Is this a start or a continuation? The only person with whom you should compare is your previous self. There is always someone faster, with more endurance, than you. Unless it is your livelihood to "win", progress is the goal. What are your goals? You did beat everyone who stayed on the couch. Did you enjoy the run?9

Huh. I can see the link fine (it shows in metric for me), probably as I use a similar watch.
So the 5X gives you a "performance condition". I don't get that with the 3HR.
Otherwise, you ran for an hour. Good job.
Oh, and now I know where you live......8 -
everyone sucks at running before they get better at it. Any running is hard and you should be proud of yourself.2

did you run? great
pace is so subjective. i am jealous of the 9min/milers but other people are jealous of my 12:30min/trail miles.
as was mentioned: comparison is the thief of joy6 -
You’re still lapping everyone on the couch! I just started running again and I know I’m slow but that’s okay, I’m only competing against myself and I can see lots of improvements in only a couple months.4

For those who could not access the link...

Maybe you need more 20-30 minute sessions in zone 3?7
-
-
The only person you ever need to compare your running to is yourself. Your pace doesn't matter, what matters is that you're getting out their and grinding. Keep up the good work!3
-
Hey look at it this way..... even if your at the back of the pack..... your still in the pack.
Chill and enjoy. I was NEVER fast when I ran......... still loved it and I swear no Olympic Gold medalist felt better than me when I finished my first 5km!!!
All relative man...... bask in the glow of your effort!3 -

This. Comparing pace to previous pace is the best way to evaluate yourself -- *as long* as you also evaluate the other factors. (Weather, illness, hills, generally feeling of crankiness, etc.)1 -

Then you have your answer; continue, your zone three will get faster as you improve.1 -

Add another jealous onlooker for that trail pace. I am running about 11 minute miles at 5-6 miles right now but the trail I run I'm never faster than about 14:30.
And OP, we all start somewhere and find a groove that keeps us running. There's someone in my friends feed who set some ridiculous goals for a month of running and was just crazy upbeat and pushing themselves to get to what i guess she though some globally impressive standard - lo and behold, she sidelined herself for months with an overuse injury. The aim isn't to pop out numbers that impress (I'm a fan of the slow lumbering run that keeps on keeping on) but to engage in an activity that benefits you for today and tomorrow and all the days after.7 -
Hmm most of your daily posts are in the 12-15 minute pace. I think you power walk faster than 16 don’t you? Most people can’t do that. Considering that you were almost dead a couple years ago, there is no reason to feel bad about your running! Just keep having fun old dude! 🤗7
-
Don't worry about it! Just enjoy it and don't bother about pace unless you're training for an event and want a time. I used to be fast but now I'm quite happy pottering along at 10/11 min miles, enjoying the scenery, listening to music and chilling.2

I thought I sucked at running.
Then I tried swimming.15 -
If you ran that pace in Pittsburgh this year at the 5K (the day before the marathon) you would have beaten 174 other runners. I guess they must really suck, right?6

Yeah, i get faster paces when i do power walk/run intervals. I run faster on the run interval and i can power walk at a 14:00 to 15:00 pace.
I have been trying to do longer runs at a pace that i can hold a broken conversation in (perceived exertion) as recommended by people. For me it felt like it was right in the middle of zone 3, so i ran at a pace to maintain that heart rate and feeling.
That's why it felt pathetic, because i can power walk way faster than that.
I can do a 10:00 mile just running, but can't go much longer than a mile at that pace.1 -

This just reminded me of back when i was in the army. Back then i could run 2 miles in 14 minutes. We had to swim one time to qualify for the German Fitness medal. We had to swim 200 meters and i fizzled out shortly after 100 meters. I made it the next year though because i paced myself. But it still took everything out of me.0 -

Or being older and fatter.
My last 5k race was 6 minutes slower than my PR.6 -
You CAN run, and you DO run, and you can learn to run faster. That's not a fail or a suck!
I (physically) cannot do more than a slow jog. No matter how fit I am, that is all I will ever be able to do (not a huge loss to me as I never did enjoy running) - but I can't lie, the fact that I CAN'T still bugs me.
Embrace your strengths and work on what you can, and give yourself credit where it's due.6 -
There’s always a faster runner than all of us! Be the best runner you can be and compare you to yourself. It will get faster2
