Hi everyone, I just wondered that what will happen if you having a 6000 calories binge weekend in each week while following the weight loss goal like consuming 1600 calories food and drinks in the rest of the weekdays. Will this kind of binge days cause the weight gain?

I'm confused as you have already asked this but now increased your figures. You will undo all your hard work in the week. Its up to you and you alone to decide if that is worth it or not.8

Obviously. A calorie surplus is still a surplus. If you need to lose weight, and your weight loss goal is 1600 calories a day, that's 11'200 calories a week. If you binge on the weekends, you eat a total of 14'000 calories a week, or 2000 calories a day, negating all the progress you made during the weekday. Also (correct me if I'm wrong) but binge eating makes fat gain faster, since you consume way more than your body needs in a given time. When the body has a surplus of calories it can use for energy, but it won't actually turn it into energy, it converts it into fat. You're doing more harm to yourself by binging, might as well just eat normally every day of the week.7

Did you read the responses in your other thread about this subject?8

It's no different than a bank account.
If you save every day for a month, then the last day of the month you go on a shopping spree, does that help or hurt your overall savings? Depends how much you saved to that point and how much you spend during the shopping spree. Everyone's numbers are different... if they work out in your favor, then great. If not, then not so great.9 -
About a year ago I was cutting calories and doing cardio M-F, then on the weekends I would not exercise, eat fast food, drink too much, etc... I wasn't going crazy with extra calories on the weekend, it wasn't anywhere near 6000, but it was probably slightly above maintenance. I did still loose weight and inches, but it was slow progress. It took me around 5 months to loose what I later was able to loose in 30 days.
And I would think too many calories on the weekend and your body will use those days to adjust. For me, cutting usually happens over a few weeks at a time. So, 5 days at a time is hardly enough it seems.2 -
So you keep asking about binges. Is there a reason you feel like you need to binge?7

What answer are you looking for that you didn't get in your other thread? If 6000 calories puts you over your weekly calorie goal and you do that routinely you will gain weight. If it puts you even with your goal you will maintain and if it keeps you in a deficit, you will reduce the amount of weight lost but will still lose. There really isn't any other answer.7 -
You have an eating disorder. Plain and simple. Sorry but it’s the truth11

It's a simple math equation. Burning more calories than you eat= Weight loss. Do the math.1
